I have flown on a Portugalia EMB-145 on a short Lissabon-Faro trip. It was a nice powerful aircraft. The cabin in first gave a bit cramped claustrofobic feeling; 15 rows 3-abreast made it feel like entering a tube. For me (1.92 meter, I guess that's about 6 feet 2) I really had to crowl to my seat, but as soon as I sat down in the single windowseat, it was great. Nice big windows (compared with too few and too small windows in the CRJ). The climb-rate was impressive and it felt comfortable. The noise level was quite low. And there is ability for serving meals so I wouldn't mind a 2,5 hour sector in it.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
