Problem With KLM's 777s?

On the site of Amsterdam’s local TV station today (translation):
The KLM is going to monitor how many of its passengers fall ill during flights because a number of passengers fainted during flights to Toronto over the past week. This route is served by KLM’s new Boeing 777s. “We only have two of these aircraft flying so far so if something is amiss we should be able to identify it easily”, according to a spokesman. Until now KLM has been unable to find anything wrong with the new planes. (end of translation)

Anybody know more about this?

Did the chicken or the egg get laid first?

These are new planes, and a new type for the airline. There will be problems. Just I don't know if people falling ill is the kind of problems they want to have.

I don't agree. The 777-200 is an eight-year-old design- certainly no reason for there to be problem. There shouldn't be problems just because it's a new type to them. American, Singapore, whoever.. didn't start losing passengers when they introduced the 777.
And- oxygen is not added to the cabin during flight. So it shouldn't be an issue of too little oxygen, unless KLM has set the temperature condition system too far in the 'recirculate' mode. This is supposedly more economical, as it requires less bleed air to be used for heating... but you have to maintain an appropriate mix. Wait a minute- isn't the 777 a 100-per-cent-fresh-air cabin design, like the 717 is? I know that it's a farily new idea, and that Airbus hasn't done it yet, but Boeing has it on the 777 and 717, so I wouldn't think that it would be a problem...

I think it's probably coincidental. Why would people faint on either of two KLM 777s, when they don't faint on the other four hundred that are flying?

Well,
most if not all airlines (and most passengers I suppose) have been very happy with their 777s so far, although problems like this have been reported also from other operators some time ago. I only had one single (on the positive side not very memorable) flight on a 777-200 a few years ago, but this kind of problem didn´t occur back then.
