Longest A330-300X Route YVR-LHR

Sun Nov 30, 2003 5:23 am

Air Canada's YVR-LHR appears to be the longest A333 route currently flying at 4,105nm. I believe the longest one before that was MEL-HKG operated by CX at 3,890nm. Does anybody know of a 333 route longer than this? I'm well aware that the -200 series 330 has a much greater range than the 300X so please don't include -200 routes. Thanks.

If im not mistaken PR flies MNL-HNL with a A333 sometimes? this was discussed before however im not sure if it included a tech stop at Guam? or it could be heavily weight restricted?

You're absolutely right - Philippines does fly the 333, a 330-301 no less!, nonstop MNL-HNL from time to time.

When NW starts flying SEA-AMS, that'll beat LHR-YVR by 100 or so nm.

I'm almost positive that the MNL-HNL requires a fuel stop.

MNL-HNL is within the plane's range, technically. The weak -301 struggles, but I read an article somewhere not too long ago about their operating it nonstop.

There's really nowhere for a fuel stop along that route.

Wake Island, Guam and Johnston Island are on the route between MNL-HNL if a fuel stop would be needed.

did a little research on the MNL-HNL flight.

I found out that this route is operated by the A333 on tuesdays only. the rest of the week on thursday and saturday is operated by the A340.

since last December this 3rd flight a week was added. The route IS operated non-stop. as PR 100 and PR 101 comin' back.

now, I dont know though if its still operated with an A333 on Tuesdays. Can anybody confirm that PR uses the A333 to HNL up to now on tuesdays?
or have they made the HNL route pure A343?

thanks for any info
