I was flying this week, and saw the graphics in BDL at the United ticket counter. They were the same double-U design to be used for Ted. Then I remembered reading here that United mainline intended to change their livery. Anybody have any info on this?

United has had the double U design for as long as I can remember, back into the early 80s at least.

The "double U" started in 1974 I believe. Replaced the shield livery that had preceded it for many years.

Several years ago, the "double U" logo was the 3rd most recognized corporate logo in the WORLD, behind only Coke and GE. Not sure where it ranks now.

Don't look for the basic double-u to go away anytime soon, though the colors around it have, and probably will change again.

And the winner for best actress is....REESE WITHERSPOON for 'Walk the Line'!!!!!!!!
