Here's some more info on the subject...
Through the grapevine at work....apparently 524, 525, and 529 were not stripped down when they were flown out to GYR
. Apparently safety cards, magazines, galley carts, etc were all left onboard. Also, TIMCO employees were told that these aircraft were to remain there for 60 days.
Also, today is the 4th, weren't a round of negotiations set to close today....
Before Thanksgiving I was up in ATW
for an interview......I met some XJ
's pilots who were up there interviewing for AirWhisky up there. I guess they are to be going in training soon for XJ
and attended a strike rally, thinking it was just a normal ALPA union meeting and were threated by union reps that if they attended training or anything during the strike they would have the tires on their car slashed. Talking to them, I wasn't too sure about how much they knew about the industry though. They were clueless about many common topics, there was a guy with they from ALG
and the XJ
guys had no idea that they are going down the crapper too, and had no idea about the whole ACA
story. However, their claim was....yeah XJ
is gonna go on strike, and keep the ARJ's, and get new jets in the future. Somehow I think they might be a little to optimistic and not understanding the big picture.
