Flights In 2004

Tue Dec 09, 2003 2:07 pm

How many flight do you have planned or do you expect to be on in 2004?

Mine:
1 or 2 trips to Europe - usually flying TG business or first
1 flight to Singapore - usually flying SQ business
10 flights from SYD to AKL - usually flying NZ or TG economy or business
20+ flights Australia domestic - usually QF economy

Hopefully there will be a lot more  Wink/being sarcastic

Maybe SEA-SFO-SEA

Definitely:
SEA-IAD-LHR-IAD-SEA
(may include Germany if I can find a good price)

All flights on UA, of course.

Thaigold: Just as cool as SV777 flying EK's A345 in J-Class if you ask me Smile.
I don't have any trips planned so far... If I go anywhere I do that rather spontaneous.

SV777: Sounds good. I guess you're on company business then...
So when you come to FRA in June will you step by?

Well... I do not know for sure where and when, but i am ticketed for:
March 12 B6 FLL-JFK
March 15 B6 JFK-FLL
however I may cancel it because my chorus had to cancel their main proformance.

I will be going to camp... don't know if i'll be flying and if so what airline but i have an idea of the dates:
FLL (or MIA)-ATL on DL, AA, or FL June 11 or 12
ATL-FLL (OR MIA) on DL, AA, or FL June 19 or 20

also, maybe some college visits!
NEXT FLIGHT: FLL-ATL-HPN on FL

As far as I know the first commercial flight up is a Gov't ticket from OKC to ABQ and back, on SWA in Jan. THen again in March. On my own I'll take CO from IAH to BZE at least once, and Great Plains from OKC- BLV in Febuary.

Hey Thaigold,

Yes I am booked on SQ's A345 flights. I found that ex-Malaysia is one of the cheapest option to fly on them. In fact the cheapest is ex-BKK but I would need a ticket to BKK. I might do that if I have time.

Jan 4-9 I will be going BOS-SFO-BOS on CO (its non-rev so I dont know what the routing will be)

I am also going to TPA over new years so I will be flying TPA-EWR-BOS on the 1st or 2nd, again on CO

as for the rest of the year :
Spring break trip:
BOS-EWR-LGW (CO)
LHR-MXP (BA)
MXP-EWR-BOS (CO)

Summer
I will probably go:
BGR-PHL-BGR (US)
BGR-DTW-CAK-DTW-BGR (NW)

I am not sure about the rest of the year as I leave on short notice a lot.

in july or august 2004 (have the ticket already, flights segments are still open, have to call CX and OF for my definite flight dates):

SYD-BKK with QF

BKK-HKG with CX

HKG-AMS with CX

back home in the Netherlands, I'm gonna try to get a cheap ticket to celebrate christmas 2004 in London....

I have two returning legs :

SYD-SIN-FRA-OTP on LH/SQ

and

OTP-BRU on KL (This time I'll ask not to sit next to emergency exit as no luggage allowed next to my legs - I understand - no reclining seat and there was freezing air going through those doors, so much it gave me a stiff neck...)

Hello,

This far I have booked following flights for year 2004:

Jan 25th HEL-VIE, Tyrolean CRJ-200
Jan 25th VIE-BKK, Lauda Air B777-200
Jan 28th BKK-USM, (Koh Samui) Bangkok Air B717

Feb 03rd USM-BKK, Bangkok Air ATR72-500
Feb 03rd BKK-VIE, Lauda Air B767-300
Feb 04th VIE-HEL, Tyrolean CRJ-200

Feb 12th HEL-AMS, KLM 737-400
Feb 12th AMS-PUJ, (Punta Cana) Martinair B767-300
Feb 19th PUJ-AMS via Puerto Plata, Martinair B767-300
Feb 20th AMS-HEL, KLM 737-300

I'm also planning to use my Finnair Plus miles and take free flights from Helsinki to Rome (FCO) and back, probably before the end of March. During the summer I'll use my SAS Eurobonus miles and take the free flights from Helsinki to Barcelona and back via Copenhagen. Flying is fun but especially when it is "free"!  Big thumbs up  Wink/being sarcastic

Maybe also after the summer I'll travel to Munich, but I haven't decided the airline or route yet. And who knows yet what the end of the year will bring...

Comfortable flights wishes to you,

Houston to Singapore...Monthly (stay 4 days)
Houston to New York...about every other month (stay 1 day)

My 'second' job working for an education consultant-evaluator service doesn't allow me to plan a year in advance, but takes the blame for a lot of my air travel. So far only January is ticketed

Jan 1-2 BWI-MSP-SAN / SAN-DTW-BWI - NW

Jan 2-3 DCA-IAH-ICT / ICT-IAH-DCA - CO

Jan 4-5 BWI-MSP-SNA / SNA-MSP-BWI - NW

Jan 7-8 BWI-MSP-SNA / SNA-MSP-BWI - NW

Jan 10-11 BWI-IAH-SNA / SNA-IAH-BWI - CO/NW codeshare

Jan 13-14 BWI-MSP-SNA / SNA-MSP-BWI - NW

Jan 17-18 BWI-DTW-IAH-TUS / TUS-IAH-DTW-BWI - NW/CO codeshare (midwinter frequent flyer point boondoggle - 4500 miles for $241.50)

Jan 23-25 DCA-IAH-YVR / YVR-IAH-DCA - CO/NW codeshare (midwinter frequent flyer point boondoggle - 6800 miles for $356.62)

Jan 31-Feb 2 BWI-DTW-SNA / SNA-MSP-BWI - NW
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

By February 2004, I should qualify for 'metal' elite at some level for 2005.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Thanks for all the replies - very impressed about how much people actually fly around. It's also very good to see that there are lots of airlines being used so we can keep them all alive - or at least try to....

Why do you prefer that specific airline - price, miles, schedule????

For me it's at combination of all 3.

Don't had a specific taste, I booked my backpacking trip to Australia and Asia trough a specialized backpacker travel agency back in the Netherlands, they had a few choices, including a group introduction. Flying with CX to Sydney via HKG, one day in HKG...and 4 days of information in, and some tours around Sydney......after those 4 days, backpacking all by yourself.....and I can keep the flights segments open for the way back home (SYD-AMS via BKK and HKG with QF and CX), until I have finally decided when I want to leave Australia.....well, for the time being.....definitely NOT!  Laugh out loud Big grin

I heard nothing but positive stories about CX (flights were great, totally agree with all the opinions!), and I've always wanted to fly QF, so a good thing that I booked a extra flight segment to BKK......

The only thing I have to decide now is which airline to take from PER to AKL....that definitely depends on the price (I'm just a backpacker  Smile ).....if anyone could give me some tips or information....send me an E-mail  Big grin
