What Are The Chances Of Seeing B6 Back At ATL

Wed Dec 10, 2003 2:47 am

What are the chances of seeing B6 back at ATL in the near future or beyond?
I think that we know it will not be New York service, it is close to being overserved by CO DL FL
BOS is a possibility, Washington maybe
FLL and CO / KMCO), USA - Florida">MCO would work as well.

Those are just current destinations, but with the EMB190 and possibly after they have established service with EMB190s and have A320s available, will they come back to ATL?
NEXT FLIGHT: FLL-ATL-HPN on FL

They tried it, it did not work, I am sure it is not on the foreseeable future, just my 2 cents. There are so many more markets that they can go into and not have to fight tooth and nail for market share. So my guess would be about the same time coke brings back "New Coke"! B6 will re-enter the ATL market. And as a share holder I am glad that they recongized there chose was not the best to enter ATL and have moved on to other markets.

Why do you think DL violated its original plan and placed Song on ATL-JFK?  Big grin

With Delta and AirTran taking up such a chunk of the ATL market, and due to the sheer volume of traffic going in and out of ATL, it is simply not a good airport for LCCs. Looking at a map of the US, ATL and DEN seem to be huge holes in WN's route structure, yet they won't touch them with a 10-foot pole. AirTran's volume there makes their LCC product work, but as JetBlue showed, it's tough for an LCC to make money operating a low volume of flights at a busy place like ATL.

Does anyone know if Jet Blue has any plans on serving the Chicago market? I thought I read something in the Chicago Triubune earlier this yr about MDW as a consideration. Could this be a market that would work in their favor?

I think they've always been considering MKE if you're one of those who considers us as a secondary Chicago market.

I miss their excellent service to Atlanta...sure beats the tired old Delta 757s that I have to fly now from ONT.

From what I understand, they still market "New Coke" in third world countries, where it was much more popular.
