NW A330-200s

Fri Dec 12, 2003 12:45 am

How much longer before the NWA A332s begin delivery? How many are on order? Also, how many of NWA's A333s are delivered? How many of them are on order?

Hallo,

The 5th A330-300 is delivered 31/10/03 c/n552 N805NW.

There are 10 A332 on order: C/n 609/614/618/620/621/631/634/641/662/669.
Airbus is delivering some 40 A330/A340 a year, so I think the first A332 will be
delivered beginning 2005. My guess!

NW placed an order for 14 333s (4 have been delivered), and 10 332s. NW will recieve it's first 332 in the second quarter of next year from my understanding. I'll have to double check though...
The New American is arriving.

To date, 5 333s have been delivered. First 332 in June/July or maybe sooner if things can be expedited between Airbus and NW.

When I was younger I used to know all the different versions of A/C, but those days seem to be fading.

Can someone show me (pic) and tell me the difference between the A330-300 and the A330-200?

Thx

The -200 on the left is shorter and has longer range than the longer -300 on the right.

From what I have been told at NWA. The A330-200 will be used for the Pacific.

Examples.

SEA-NRT
SFO-NRT
PDX-NRT

And some South Flying out of NRT.

Solnabo,

NW will be one of the largest 320 family operators in the world. When all of the current orders have been delivered, NW's 320 fleet will include:
-84 A-320-200s (currently 76 in the fleet)
-76 A-319-100s (currently 65 in the fleet)
Total 320 family total: 160 aicraft when they have all been delivered.

There will be 24 A-330s in the fleet as well. 10 A-330-200s, and 14 A-330-300s.
The New American is arriving.

The deliveries of the 320 series never end because NW can not defer them any longer. They have four (N325US, N329US, N334US, N335US) parked in Mojave right now. They took delivery last month of another one I believe.

The 332 will not only fly routes in the Pacific but replace DC10-30 routes. SEA-AMS and eventually AMS-BOM. Its primary role will, though, be in the Pacific.
