Does anyone know where he flies to when going to his ranch at Crawford, TX? Where is the ranch located anyway? Near Houston? Is there an AFB nearby? And also, would he typically use the 747 to go there?

What about Camp David and Kennebunkport, which are the closest airports?

Air Force One usually lands at the TSTC airport near Waco, Texas. It rarely, if ever, lands at ACT (I don't think it ever has). President Bush then uses a Marine helicopter to fly to his ranch.

The ranch is just outside Waco, which is about 85 miles south/southwest of Dallas.

Personally, I don't think I would ASK or ANSWER any questions about the President's movements.

The info about the President's flights is pretty well-known. They fly to TSTC because it's out-of-the way, not used often, and therefore easier to secure. I have some friends who own a ranch two plots over from the Bushes, and they routinely see Marine 1 flying over, so they aren't all that stealthy about it in this part of the country.

Texas State Technical College Waco Airport - CNW / KCNW.

Nearby ACT has too short a runway to accommodate Air Force One (when it's a VC-25A Boeing 747). So, Dubya uses TSTC instead.

You can find some interesting aircraft at CNW quite often. I've seen IL-62's, C-141's, C-5's, and, of course, Air Force One. Also, there was (at least a few years ago) a boneyard of decrepit engineless 747's sitting in the yard.

When he goes to Kennebunkport, he goes uses Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH. AFB) (PSM / KPSM), USA - New Hampshire">PSM is all of a 15-20 minute drive from the Kennebunk complex (I play golf every summer up in the area, you just hop on I-95 across the bridge and you're there).

As for Camp David, he just takes Marine One there from the White House lawn. It is a short chopper ride, and if he needs to get on a plane, I'm sure he just takes Marine One from Camp David to Andrews AFB.
