Austrian has PTVs in all classes on its A330s. JAL and SAA definitely did not have PTVs in Economy last time I flew them, but maybe (hopefully) that has changed. If so, can anyone confirm that they have been installed fleetwide?

B777-200ER
=========

Does anyone know if SIA has any intention of retrofitting the new B777 economy class seats and AVOD to the older B777s?

SAA has PTVs in all classes on the Airbusses and on the 744s - the 743s and 742s (should they still be in use) don't have them.

TAM also has AVOD in all classes, although not on all 330s (not quite sure which ones do and which ones don't)...

On Gulf Air's newly refurbished A340-300's they have PTV's.

I flew on one flying from Bahrain-London Heathrow back in July with its new Blue and Gold Falcon livery.

The seating is bright pink - Not really to my taste!!!

Hoons,

You forgot Middle East Airlines (MEA).

Both the A321s and A330s have PTVs in all classes:

Economy Class

Cedar Class

Their A321s only have 149 seats which is less than many A320s. 31 Cedar Class and 118 Economy Class seats. The A330-200s have 250 seats. 42 Cedar Class and 208 Economy Class seats.

Cedar Class has 48 inch seat pitch and Economy has 32 inch seat pitch.

They were the first airline to offer PTVs in all classes in an A321.

Also, MEA's A330s have Audio Video On Demand (AVOD) in Cedar Class.

They were the first airline in the Middle East to introduce AVOD in business class.

BA, weren't they the first to introduce AVOD in economy as well? Or did something like emirates beat them to it?

AirxLiban,

AVOD is only in Cedar class and only on the A330s.. In economy, it's a broadcast.

The A321's Cedar class is broadcast like economy.

Unfortunately, you have to keep updated with Qantas to see what they're doing with their aircraft at various times in the year.
They seem to put new things in before older products have been completed in the fleet.

A related question - which airlines have external video cameras that allow you to watch the outside action on your PTV. I know BMI A330s have this but not sure about any others.
