Which US Airport Is Served By All Airlines?

Tue Dec 16, 2003 1:51 am

I'm wondering which one has service from all US carriers!

Considering:
American, United, Delta, Northwest, Continental, US Airways, Jetblue, Frontier, Southwest, America West, Alaska, Midwest Express, AirTran, Spirit, Song and ATA! (Hawaiian and Aloha not included).

LAS, Maybe?

TPA is almost there minus ATA (which flies into PIE) and Alaska
Looking forward to the new AA

Los Angeles Int'l. LAX has all of those except JetBlue but including Hawaiian.

For purposes of this discussion, I don't think you should consider Song or TED as separate carriers. If Song and TED are distinct carriers, then you should include SkyWest, Comair, ASA, Great Lakes, Air Wisconsin, and all the other regional airlines as well.

Just consider the "Connection" and "Express" and "airline-within-airline" as one in the same.

Yes, Frontier does serve TPA with 2 daily flights. Expect to see fare wars between jetBlue, Ted (currently United Mainline), and Frontier.
Looking forward to the new AA

It's fairly easy to forget them.

I've never been to an airport served by more airlines than LAX.

FLL is pretty close. If you take out Alaska, but add a few others (smaller carriers), its up there!

Sacramento, California
Draw- Capitol of California, Home of numerous corporations, huge immigrant populations from Asia, Mexico, and Eastern Europe!
4,000,000 inhabitants in surrounding area
Recent Renovations have brought Aloha, Hawaiian, and Mexicana.
Further Improvements are a New Runway, International Arrivals Building, New Parking Structure

I live in Sacramento (have for 17 years) and would like to add a few comments.

1. Yes, Sacramento has an enormous immigrant population. A lot of Asian immigrans, Mexican immigrants, and Russian/Ukrainian immigrants. So you're right on there.

2. Not sure how you defined "surrounding area," but four million sounds a little high to me. Sacramento city itself is about 425,000 and the metropolitan area is about 1.75-2.0 million. Now, the city of Stockton (250,000) is only about 30 miles away and not considered part of the metro area, but I'm still unsure how you got more than 2,500,000 for the Sacramento area.
