I was traveling with British Airways from LHR to EWR one time back in the mid 90s and had a most unusual yet pleasant experience. While queuing to get on the plane, one of the flight attendants passed out an itinerary for the in-flight fashion show that was going to be held. Bruce Oldfield (sp?), a fashion designer was traveling to New York with several of his models and sure enough in the middle of the flight we had a fashion show! Models would walk down each of the aisles (this was a 747), change at the end of the plane, and the walk back to the front. This happened for about 3 or 4 outfits and then it was over. It was a most unique and memorable experience, one that I have never seen or heard of replicated on any other airline. Passengers were snapping pictures and cheering for the models. At the end Bruce Oldfield and the models thanked each of the sections of the plane for their support and retreated back to first class.
Have you ever experienced an unusual form of in-flight entertainment like this?
