Saudi Arabian To Add New Routes In Iran

Tue Dec 23, 2003 10:58 pm

Something they should have done a long time back, justplanes.com report SV planning service to Shiraz, Esfahan Mashhad and Tehran from the eastern city of Dammam, they already operate Jeddah-Tehran once a week with a 777.

I expect all of the above to be operated with MD-90's.

OK, the JED-THR route seems to have been suspended for the third time by SV, only Iran Air ply it with a 747SP.

SV flies to Terhran from Jeddah every Monday on SV608 using the 741 all economy confg.

I believe that Iran Air is serving Dammam right now.

SV flights to Tehran are not listed at amadeus.net nor is Tehran in SV's website listing of destinations served for flight search on the home page, I do know they were using a 777 in mid 2003.

If you're employed with the airline can you explain why thye dont list the city and the fact that its shown with a dotted line on the route map.

Airmale,

No I'm not employed by SV. I get my info from OAG and from my friend who is a First Officer on the MD90.

SV has this bad habit of changing equipment 1 hour before departure. Their aircraft allocation is very poooooooooooooooor.
