Wow! Delayed for 33 hours and 30 minutes on Christmast Day. They just took off less than 2 hours ago.
If you are on this flight, would you be  Angry ,  Pissed ,  Love ,  Big thumbs up ???

Anyone know whats wrong with the plane? They arrived syd on 25Dec ontime using the B743. Must be a big technical prob.

According to the EMA website, the same thing happened with a Monarch flight from Armistar. It should have arrived back at EMA at 20:25 (24th December) but was delayed until 14:25 (25th December)!

just comes to mind,

this delay must have cost the airline a fortune. First, at least 400pax (considering this is a peak season) must be transferred to a hotel, then the airline have to make allowance for their meals, then the extended parking at the aiport ramp. Hmmm I was wondering what they do with the catering, I guess they'll store them back to the fridge? Is airline food made daily or they can be stored and frozen?

Thanks for the topic regarding the JAL 778 flight course I was wondering what happened to the flight too!

I saw the aircraft parked in the Qantas Maintenance Base area on the 25th (Yesterday) on my way to work & was wondering what happened to the aircraft.

If it helps JAL Air CARGO flew into Sydney today, it could have something to do with the B743 which operated JAL778. It would have to be a Serious problem to have a Freighter fly in with replacement parts.

I know JAL is modernizing there fleet, BUT JAL should reconsider the phase out date of these aging B742 & B743 aircraft with MODERN aircraft a lot sooner than what they have planned!

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. We are tonight’s entertainment!

EMA Nottingham to ATQ Amritsar? There is a scheduled Monarch flight on this route now? Wow!!

Delay on Christmas in India was due to the heavy low fog prevailing in North India.

EK413,
Do you think that brand new aircraft never take a long delay? I will guarantee that on Dec 25 a 777, a 340, and a 747-400 took a long delay somewhere in the world. Do you want to replace them also.
