Airtran 717...who's Who?

Tue Dec 30, 2003 6:48 am

Which are fact-delivered?
Which are ex-TWA?
Which are ex-HA?

I'm talking about reg #s.

I'm sure others will have better data but here goes:

717-2BD: original AirTran deliveries - Fleet #s 701 - 741; Reg. #s N940AT - 988AT?

717-231: ex TWA / AA - Fleet #s 779 - 798; Reg. #s N901AT - N939AT?

717-2S7: ex Pembroke (VuelaMex) - Fleet #s 760 - 770; Reg. #s N989AT - N998AT

Plus N717JL is a -2BD and AirTran's 50th 717 registered in honor of Joe Leonard; it's Fleet number is 741.

I'm pretty sure about fleet numbers but I usually don't keep up with registrations (unfortunately they have nothing to do with each other).

To answer more of the question, as of this week 41 -2BDs, 10 -2S7s, & 22 -231s have been delivered. I believe two ex-HA -22As are due in January '04. Last I heard six more -2BDs will start arriving in March.

I know it's been asked before, but how many -2BDs are on FIRM order, and how many options?

Cheers!

Six firm orders and, I believe, four options.

The Ex-Pembrokes are -23S, Not -2S7.

Gr8slvrflt. N985AT, N986AT, and N987AT are also 717-231.
