AZ DC9-50 Flying?

Tue Dec 30, 2003 7:15 pm

LAst week, in Rome Fiumicino I've seen an AZ DC9 -50 taking off. I'm sure it is not a MD 82, becouse from my plane waiting to take off I see well the type written on the engine.

Az had a strong fleet of dc9-50, the last used still three years ago by the charther sister company Eurofly.

I thought DC90 were only used for learning pourpouse and not flying

What's about

What are you talking about? AZ had DC-9-32's and MD-82's but never operated DC-9-50's. Eurofly used to operate DC-9-51's and in the end used to have AZ colours but Eurofly titles.

Or am I so wrong?

You are wrong, it was for sure a MDD-80.

AZ had never used DC-9/51 and Eurofly used two of them but never in AZ colours.

To me, this looks like an Eurofly DC-9-51 in AZ-colours...

You are right, my memory is going..... I'm becoming too old Smile

But in any case those planes left GJ fleet a while ago, so it's not possible AZMD80 saw one of them in FCO last week.
