Here in New Zealand the first commercial flights to take off, as far as I know, is QF34, Auckland to Melbourne and NZ500, Christchurch to Auckland both departing at 6:00am. I have no idea exactly what aircraft would have taken off first after midnight, but someone will!

Happy New Year!

Anyone what the first take-off in the United States will be for 2004? It is currently the day of New Year's Eve in St. Louis, for those of you in other parts of the world. It is 9:19 A.M. here. Does anyone have even the slightest idea of what the first takeoff in the U.S. will be for 2004?

I don't know about the east coast and midwest, but all I know the first flight from the Mountain time zone will probily be the JetBlue flight from Den to Jfk.

AA has a departure from PDX Scheduled to leave the gate at 11:59pm. to DFW. But that just the west coast. Actully the first US flight of the year might be in SJU. AA 116 JFK-LHR Departs the gate at 11:55pm. that all i going to look.
