Canadian DEFINATELY never operated the 777....the closest they had to a 777 was the 767-300 series. Are you sure it's not a shot of the 763??

I got a similar calendar and I noticed a handful of errors including the Canadian 777 (actually a 767), John Travolta's "Quantas" 707, the "Hawaiin" 717, and the Qantas "737-700" which was actually a -800.

lol, yup, you and the editors were definitely confused. But I would have loved to see a Canadian Goose 777.

Yep. Goofs like that are fairly common...thank God.  Wink/being sarcastic In fact, I have a poster showing a variety of jetliners, including a TWA 777, which we all know never happened. Regards.

Canadi>n looked at the 777 once upon a time - there were actually modifications made to gates in YYC for the 777, even though the airport has rarely seen one come through, aside from diversions and the G8 summit.

Canadi>n Airlines International to my knowledge only ever put the following in the goose livery:
DHC8-300
F28-1000
B737-200Adv
B737-200C/Adv
A320-200
B767-300ER
B747-400

They at one point looked at the 777, but ended up not ever operated it.

When Boeing flew the 777 prototype to YYC for a demo flight with Canadi>n executives. It had a immaculate painting of a 777 in the Canadian colours on the bulkhead in the business class section of the cabin.
It was in the old colours.
That painting is the only 777 in the Canadai>n colours.

I was going to start a new topic on the subject of Airliner calendars, but this one is close enough. Why is it that publishers of this type of calendar invariably load them up with photos of Boeing products? This one is worse than most - 9 of the 12 planes shown are Boeings. Of the other 3 - one is a United DC-3 (I'm surprised they didn't call that a 'Boeing' too), one is a Frontier A319 and one is a Jazz BAE-146.

Just once I would like to see an Airliner calendar with manufacturers such as Bombardier, Embraer and Antonov represented.

I have a 2004 Calendar from Gemini Gets the die-cast airliner model company. The picture for January is of a Canadi>n 763 and is sure enough listed as a 777!! I suppose that one particular company prints all these airliner calendars and they don't know a whole lot about commercial aircraft designations!
