Hello !

I read in the accident page at this site that a China airlines plane crashed on landing cause the FO accidentally pressed the take off go around button.
Will anybody tell us what happens when you press that button,-meaning thrust, flaps and wheels,-will they be configurered automatically ?

The TOGA button when pressed will re-schedule the Auto-thrust Compt to a new thrust target and the computer will accelerate the engines to that target, no other system will be affected.

The only thing I am aware the TOGA switches do is raise the v bars on the flight director to a go around nose up attitude.

If the palne has auto throttles it might in addition to the above stated advance the power to go around power but I am not sure on the latter since the 727 has no auto throttles.
