BA Flight Holdups "political"?

Mon Jan 05, 2004 6:28 pm

Apparently BALPA (British Airline Pilots' Association) is not too happy about the delays and cancellation of BA223 from LHR to IAD.

Your thoughts on this?

I would agree with the pilot's point-of-view IF there were delays or cancelations to MIA, BOS, JFK or any other destinations. The intelligence originated from the Brittish government. Unless England's government has an axe to grind, how could it be political? If I was a BA pilot, I would want the extra security on my plane so I can concentrate of flying, not being the hero to stop terrorism. As far as passengers changing airlines, wouldn't you if there was maintenance or training issues regarding a certain airline? I don't think this is any different as far as my safety is concerned.
