Britannia Flights To The Dominican Republic?

Mon Jan 05, 2004 9:52 pm

My parents are travelling from MAN to POP in march and was wondering if Britannia use the 763 with premium cabin (315 seats) or 1 class with 328 seats??

Also I am flying to Punta Cana again with Britannia on a Sunday from MAN in April and was wondering the same.

Many thanks for your help

Regards

Arent they configuring all the 763s to 315 seats? If not I'd imagine it would be the 315 seat 763 on the long hauls.

All the longhaul 763s are in the 315 config.

I used to love the smell of Jet-A in the morning...

Yes both flights will have the premium cabin onboard. I worked in POP during 2003 and every flight was operated on their 763's. I have said it before though, MyTravel A330's offer a much better aircraft and premium cabin, even TCX. BY and AMM have the worst.

p.s watch out for the earthquakes!

I hope for your sake it is a 315 seat a/c as I had to endure a 10 hour overnight flight to the Seychelles before Christmas in a 328 seat Britannia 767. The plane was drafted in to cover for a failed Air Seychelles 767. Not much fun and very cozy to say the least!!

Legroom on the 328 and 315 seat aircraft is unfortunately the same in economy - the lower number of seats being soley due to the premium cabin!

Interestingly, Brits also operate a 344 seat layout for the B767-300, however you won't find it in the UK. It's only used when the aircraft go to Garuda for Hajj flights. It also involves the removal of part of the rear galley to get all the seats in...

Unbelievable. 8 seats in a row in a 767. Talking about cattle. Most airliners have 7 seats in a row in economy but in Britain this is Premium?????
