I think it was one of the main reasons for QF
choosing the A320's knowing they won't have problems finding experienced pilots for that type of aircraft.
Why won't QF
start by buying or leasing the 2 AN
320's that have been rotting away on the maintenance apron in MEL
for the past 18 months or so?
It would save them having to lease them from Singapore or starting with the 717's as they were planning, I don't know how they will do this with any logic will they waste money repainting 717's in to Jetstar colours and then back to QF
colours when the new A320's arrive? and will they initially be operating the 2 types together? It might make sense for Jetstar to operate both 717 and A320's after all theyre both very economical and the 717's are operated by ex Impulse staff.
