I would be thoroughly shocked like never before if Continental were to buy up something like UA
's Pacific network out of SFO
. Aside from the anomaly that was the 1980s, wholesale acquisitions just aren't like Continental, and certainly aren't part of the culture that Gordon has developed in his 9 years with us. We built our presence from the ground-up, it's much smoother and certainly a great source of pride!
That said, I'm almost 100% positive it's going to be the official announcement that we will be joining Skyteam effective sometime mid-year. The time has come.
By the way, the only domestic FC capacity reductions are coming on the 757-300s, which, even when fully delivered, will only represent a small portion of our total fleet. And, as MAH4546 reported, they will be configured 12/210. You won't see much of these anywhere but EWR
