Aviation: SAS or Braathens? -that's the question
The SAS Group will in future use only one brand name in Norway, and remove either SAS or Braathens.
The aim is to strengthen the Group's image in its competiton against the low-price airlines, such as "Norwegian" and "Nordic air link".
The SAS Group will operate under just one trademark in order to win in the competition against Norwegian and Nordic Airlink in particular.
-I can confirm that such a plan exists, and that we are working intensively with this at the moment, says SAS information director Hans Ollongren to Dagens Naeringsliv.
The aim of project Low Cost Carriers Plus (LCC Plus) is to make the Group more competitive, even if most of the structure of the present network will be maintained.
According to Dagens Naeringsliv, only one brand name will be used when inland winter schedules begin in October this year.
