I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before – try searching.

However, I have a feeling that it might be Kuala Lumpur/Singapore.

British Airways operates a 744 from Bahrain to Doha and back every day, with traffic rights.

Distance is 90 miles.

There used to be a British Airways flight on the Vancouver-Sydney leg, but not sure whether back then it was a 747-400 or a -200.

Other contenders: Johannesburg-Harare (Lufthansa until some years ago), Paris-Zurich (JAL in the past), Hong Kong-Taipei (CX, CI, others).

There have been other even shorter hops, but they were all on a -200 or -300: Buenos Aires-Montevideo (AF), Kigali-Bujumbura (AF), FRA-AMS (SA), CDG-LHR (JL), and my absolute all time favourite: Brazzaville-Kinshasa, operated by Sabena. Literally across the river, it's like going from Manhattan to TEB.

PIA used to bring in a 747SP to OSL. Would go OSL-CPH, before going to somewhere in Pakistan.

I believe the shortest would probably be either NRTKIX.HNDOSA (of course those arent international) or SINKUL (to be more precise) or SINCGK..of those currently operating.
A while back I flew AF 744 EZEMVD and KL GIGGRU those are very short flights..however no longer operated.
cheers!

The shortest one was KLM's CCS-AUA part on B747 it was less than 40 minutes but it took forever to load and unload at AUA and CCS. This flight was part of AMS-CCS-AUA route, they have now switched to a B747 to AUA directly from AMS and a B767 AMS-CCS. I know it is almost 12hrs barely makes it.
