For years impressed flying with these machines. Thanks to my boss I always travel Business Class. Leg space is good for the relatively short flights. But ....... after replacing the Business Class in the -300 and -400 series they just started to do the same with the -800 series. This means although you're paying a much higher fare you have 6 seats in a row in Business Class now. It is called Euroselect but already nicknamed as Eurosucks.

I have been on a couple of KLM -800s. They were ok, nothing to write home about. I was in economy both times. No IFE at all, but thankfully I was on short flights (CDG-AMS and AMS-OSL). The interiors are new and clean but the seats are quite average--not a lot of legroom. All in all, pleasant enough, but I'm not sure if I'd enjoy a long flight on one.

I was a passenger on a KLM Boeing 738 from Amsterdam to Beirut in Christmas 2002. The flight didn't have a spare seat and flying time to Beirut was just over 4 hrs! For a flight that lands at 02:30am local and after a 4 hr flight, i really didn't enjoy the experience...although KLM Cabin Crew i find are very well trained, so maybe a slight compansation in that sense

I flew "Europe Select" AMS-LHR-AMS over Christmastime. The aircraft still had 2x3 configuration, although I understand they are repidly being refitted to 3x3. The airplane was nice, neat, no frills, but nothing bad, either. Service up front was excellent compared to typical US service -- even domestic first service here on short flights (we were fed in a 60 minute flight!) doesn't compare.
