KLM in Dallas?

Wed Nov 04, 1998 2:54 am

Does anyone know if KLM is starting Dallas service. I saw a
KLM 747-400 at DFW this last sunday (Nov 1, 98) and was
wondering what the deal was. Does anyone know? - Thanks
I've flown on 9V-SPK.

On the online schedule at their web site, all the flights they list to Dallas are on codeshare NW flights. However, they _both_ have identical 744 aircraft.

When I went from CLT-LHR (this was during the days of the BA-USAir partnership) we flew a BA 767 on a BA-scheduled flight with US pilots and cabin crew.

Hi :

You're right. KLM starts using Dallas
as its second hub in the US (beside
Detroit - in conjunction with Northwest)
You can visit www.klm.nl to see KLM
most updated timetable, it starts new
routings from and to Dallas, TX.

The 747-400 was most probably at DFW on Sunday becasue IAH was shut down for weather, and many aircraft had to divert. I was stuck in San Antonio, and there were a lot of diverted aircraft on the ground.
