Aerolineas Internacionales Return To Mexican Skies

Wed Jan 14, 2004 12:22 pm

Thats right! Mexican members I have some hot news.......

AEROLINEAS INTERNACIONALES N2 / LNT will return to our skies.

I read this a few mins ago in another forum comming from a very reliable source... haven't seen anything on the web (maybe, because this are really hot and fresh news).

They will fly again from CVJ (Cuernavaca) to cities in the north of country.

They said they'll be getting to 'newer' aircraft.... wonder what they are....

Im thinking that they'll return with a couple of 727s and probably B737-200s or B737-300s!

Im also asking to myself if they'll be getting a new corporate scheme! That would be good! The need a new corporate image.

Odd news!

Don't know if I would like to see them in the air again! But, maybe if there is a change in management, it's only for good!!

They should use regional jetliners, although I highly doubt it!

Best regards!

I wish I had the chance to see their 727-100s in the experimental colorful schemes they adopted right before they stopped flying

For us, people who live in Monterrey, losing Aerolineas Internacionales was a blow, because through them we had a nice, cheap way to go to Acapulco, and it was the only airline with a decent departure hour to Tijuana and Culiacan. I just hope they come back with more modern aircraft, as Ghost said, and it would be nice if it also was with a new management team.

My two cents,

I will like to see their new business plan. I had the opportunity to visit their ticket office in Mexico City (Concepcion Beistegui, Colonia del Valle) and heard some of the managers talking to each other about problems with the reservation system... it was a joke how they ran the airline. I just hope they think twice before coming back and going bankrupt again!! Mexico is not an easy country to run an airline, specially with a government monopoly in the skies...

The status of LNT.,

Routes from before will remain the same way.....

LNT440 / CVJ-MTY-CUL-TIJ
LNT555 / CVJ-GDL-HMO-TIJ
LNT888 / CVA-MLM-BJX-TIJ
LNT990 / ACA-MEX-BJX-CJS
LNT220 / MEX-AGS-CUL-TIJ
LNT221 / MEX-REX
LNT442 / CVJ-ACA
LNT889 / CVJ-VER

Apparently they'll start with flights 440 and 555. With the time they'll re-start the other routes.

Also they'll start to run charter flights in all the country!

During this past week I spent some time with a couple of pilots of A. Internacionales. One of them used to (and will) hold a management position in the company. Things are hot now and apparently it won't take a long time until we start seeing them flying again. They have a couple of 727's ready to go (XA-SKC and XA-AAD) and the current Business plan they have considers a couple of 737's (sorry, I didn't ask for the series). Charters among the original routes are considered.

I'll tell you guys more when able to disclose the info.

Hey Fly727:

Shucks! I mean I do like 727's and need more LNT's for my collection, but I was hoping they'd bring some other plane!

Oh well, I'll just have to accept the fact that maybe they'll get 737's.

Saludos desde el DF!
