Is it true that BMI are receiving their first A319 this month?!
If not when?

Well thanks for the info! I never knew bmi had any on order. Will this aircraft come into EMA? It's gonna look beautiful in those colours.

I guess that they will be used on all of BMIs domestic services.

On another note.
Are they ever going to repaint their A321s. If they are going all airbus the A321s will be in the fleet for the foreseeable future. Most the A320s are done, why not the A321s?

Routes for the 319s will probably be LHR-BRU, LHR-MME and LHR-LBA to start with.

"Are they ever going to repaint their A321s. If they are going all airbus the A321s will be in the fleet for the foreseeable future. Most the A320s are done, why not the A321s?"

Because all the A321's had been delivered before they decided to change colour schemes. They will get repainted when they are due to be repainted in the normal maintanence schedule.

Most airlines now do this when they change colour schemes as it saves money by not taking the a/c out of service when they don't really need to so they just wait until it goes in for a major overhaul and all the paint is stripped off anyway so just repaint in new colours then. Hence why 3 of the VS A343's are still in the old colours. Kind of gives an indication of which are the newer a/c in the fleet as they are normally in the old colours for longer. !!!

The A320's were still being built/delivered at the time of the change so all the ones that had not been delivered were able to be painted in the new colours.

The only a/c to be repainted in the new colours was one of the 737's, G-BVZH.

The rest have all been delivered in the new colours from the manufacturer.

I was just checking BAA flight schedules for Glasgow today, and some of the LHR flights are showing up as A319. Flight BD3 is down as an A319.

There dont seem to be any scheduled to fly EDI-LHR, but hopefully they will show up on other routes sometime...
