Great to know it's 100% confirmed, but the departure time from CPH doesn't seem convenient, but I think it should work out quite well due to the non stop operation, though snowflake will be operating flights to BEY.
Anyone know the schedule of the snowflake flights?

In the summer they also serve DUS so maybe they should have figured it out so that they serve DUS and CPH together but then more often...

The flight is only seasonal.

MEA321, are you in Lebanon right now? If so could you get a snapshot of the advertisement?

BA

I am in Florida right now, the advertisment is on the sales office in Copenhagen. My friend called me just to tell me that. I would love to have a snapshot of it myself. I will try to exercise some people in Denmark to get a picture for me. Tomorrow if the office is open my friend will go find out how much the ticket prices are.

Oh okay MEA321,

Well have a good time in Florida....I wish I was there. I'm freezing here in Colorado.  Smile

Could you ask your friend to confirm whether the flight is seasonal or not? According to Amadeus, the flight starts June 1st and continues until September 4. But it would be nice if someone else could reconfirm it.

Great news for us at Copenhagen!
Great that the route will be served with the A330 also but the times really made me a bit disappointed. It's just to hope they are delayed from time to time : )

The flight is scheduled nicely so that MEA can maximize the A330s flight time in the day. As we all know, planes sitting on the tarmac in Beirut don't make any money. MEA's A330 flights to CDG and LHR both leave around 8am. That would mean that if MEA is able to get the A330 coming from CPH (which arrives at 6am) turned around in good time, it will be on the ground for less than two hours in Beirut before going on its next trip. That is putting into account no delays or incidents that might cause conflicts in the schedules.

BA, I wish I could have a good time here in Florida, but I am a student here and the beach next to my apartment is like a tease...

Well, that's great news !!!

I wonder what the ticket price will be? Fair enough to compete with connecting flights through DUS, FRA, CDG?

My question is however, does CPH needs a new 330 or they could fit it with the current line-up (of course, considering that for the time being no new other route is planned).

Then, delays would not pose any problems for CDG-LHR flights.

The current price for a roundtrip with MEA is DKK 2500. Thats about $400 U.S. dollars. Actually this is quite expensive compared to tickets with connections. Snowflakes fare is much less expensive (DKK 1795) $300, even though they are sold out and they did not add additional frequency. AZ, AF, BA, TK, and many others are also offering lower fares.

However this doesnt beat a four hour straight flight to beirut, and imagine waking up before arriving and having some of their famous kinafeh!

Snowflake uses new 737-800s. They are not old.

But yes, I would rather fly on MEA's A330s.....

still though, the 737 has been out since the 60s and its getting a bit long in the tooth, especially in comparison to MEA's A330s.

It would appear as though snowflake is offering a weekly to Beirut from Copenhagen and a twice weekly from Stockholm.

This being the case, it looks like MEA has an advantage: more frequencies from Copenhagen.

I can't wait to see pics of MEA A330s at Kastrup!

Unfortunately, the MEA flights to CPH will be bad news for spotters. The flight sneaks in and out of Kastrup in the middle of the night. It arrives around midnight and departs at 1am. In the summer we have very short nights and very long days in Denmark. The sun sets around 11:30pm and the time peaks around June 21. So it might be possible to get some pics in MEA is arriving early, around 11:45pm.
