Pan American Airways Introduces Clipper Service To Pittsburgh
Airline Officials to Hold News Conference at Pittsburgh International Airport to Discuss New Service and Introduce Airline
PORTSMOUTH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 2000--Officials of Pan American Airways will conduct a news conference and aircraft tour on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Gate No. 52 at Concourse C at Pittsburgh International Airport.
The arriving Boeing 727-200 aircraft ferrying Pan Am officials will be the ``Clipper Portsmouth'' piloted by Pan Am chairman, Capt. Tim Mellon.
Pan Am Chairman Till Mellon and President David Fink will use the news conference to introduce Pan Am to regional news media representatives and discuss Pan Am's plans for service in 2000. In addition, the company will discuss its recent successes in the use of under-utilized airports, the development of a new on-line reservation system, and the recent FAA safety and maintenance recognition. At the news event, Pan Am will be joined by Airport Director Kent George.
As part of the introduction of the airline to the Pittsburgh market, company officials will have one of its newly reconfigured 727-200 Clipper Class aircraft open for viewing. These aircraft have been re-designed to provide additional legroom and greater passenger comfort.
