Well, after almost a month, I'm back to business, back to interact with our group and of course sharing experiences. When I flew back from LAX
I was really curious how SWISS service had changed after a full year. I flew to LAX
on December 2002 in a SWISS combination 320/MD11 and came back in December 2003 in a 343/320 combination. I think that SWISS stayed nice during this period. I was glad to see that in our flight back from LAX
the plane was full, and from ZRH
it was also full, so it looks that the airline is generating good money. The spirits of the crew was excelent, I think all of them were quite excited and I had a great example how the swiss people work. In the middle of our flight from LAX
in the SWISS 343 HB
-JMC a full bottle of Coke smashed and poored all over the floor. I saw a female F/A quickly getting some towels and tried the best she could to clean this mess. I was wathing her and I said that I really appreciated the way she was doing that, and it was interesting from her saying that it would be a shame to have all that dirt in the plane, specially because it was brand new airplane, truly a real swiss spirit and I was impressed. The rest of the flight was great and always the crew gave the best attention they could. About the equipment, well we can't compare the MD11 with the 343, for those who love airplanes the 343 can't be compared with the MD11, now that I've tried both I think it will be really difficult to compare ANYTHING with the MD11..... what a power, what a sensation, but talking about intertainment the 343 is miles ahead than the MD11. So I think the choise was good, the Airbus might be a little bit tight compared with the MD11 but still works fine. It's sad that the MD11 never had PTV's otherwise it will be my choise!
So I'm glad and confident that SWISS is in the right way and they're getting stronger and stronger! By the way, next September I will fly again with them from LIS
, and looking forward ( as always..... ).
