Yes, Club World has the cradle seats. I have no idea about FIRST though.

I once flew the 767 from JFK to MAN and observed that it was configured for 2 classes, Club World with the old Cradle Seat and World Traveller. Not sure if they're all like this or if they've changed it....

I might add that the uniqueness of the 767 configuration made for an interesting JFK-MAN flight experience for me. I got the sense that because this is an unusual configuration on a low traffic route, the crew went out of their way to be friendly and provide good service in a way that you don't get on one of the crowded big 747s to LHR....

I'm not sure when First was "axed," but in late December of 2003 I flew on two different BA 767s that did have First.

The service by all means was wonderful: There was a very friendly staff. The seats were very nice, but on each leg, there seemed to be a lot of problems: No working lights or PTVs, but luckily it was a third full.

My one complaint is the food. A friend of mine had food that was very dry and was okay, while my first flight's food was half over-cooked and half under-cooked. (Not to mention that I got food poisoning on the way back!)

Honestly, if it were possible, I would ask for a VS Economy Meal. No joke.

Still, though, it is a very nice service.  Big thumbs up

Most 767s are still conig with 8 seats in First. JFK-MAN is the exception.

First on the BA B-767-300ER's has not been completely eliminated.

All of these routes are operated with a B-767-300ER and offer First.

TLV, BWI, ACC, CCS, DAR, and EBB.

ACC = Accra, GH
CCS = Caracas, VE
DAR = Dar Es Salaam, TZ
EBB = Entebbe, UG

KZBA:

I have a feeling that when the B-767-300ER's become dusk, they would be fitted with only J, W, and M.

I don't think there is any way to fit four cabins (F, J, W, and M) on a 767. It would take up too much space and there would be only about 110-120 seats for purchase. The three class (F, J, and M) already only seat 134 passengers.

Besides, J would have flat beds.

I agree completely that F would be eliminated all together, but its still going to cut the overall seating by a good number of seats, and like you said there are not very many to begin with.

The 767s still have the old cabins (old J and Y seating) no PTVs...etc.

When the rest of the fleet was being upgraded, it was decided that the 67s wouldn't be upgraded because BA was hoping to sell them. However, as there is no market for them, BA decided to keep them, but, because of the decline in air-travel in recent years they decided not to upgrade them just yet to try and cut back on spending (especially as the 67s are used mainly on lower-yielding routes).

The BA configuations I discovered last year were as follows:

G-BNWH (the hack for MAN-JFK*) is 32J 183Y = 218 passengers
Other 767 long-haul = 8F 36J 137Y = 181 passengers
767 short-haul = 132 J 95Y = 227 (though it states it can be 247 in Y for
one-class operations).

The first of the 767's are due for embodiment from A04 with the US routes earmarked to recieve them first. This follows much complaining from our customers about the lack of Flat beds in J and no WTP, particularly on routes such as GCM.

At presnt all 767's in the long haul fleet with the exception of the MAN-JFK aircraft which is operated by Citiexpress, have a three cabin F,J,Y config.

Correction: no PTVs in Y, but they are in First and Business (that is, when they work  Laugh out loud).

I think as has being mentioned BA was looking at disposing of the 767-336ER aircraft to BAE Systems for RAF Tanker conversion. However, if press speculation this week is correct BAE has lost this contract to EADS (A330-200s), largely due to massive overspends by BAE on other MoD contracts (To the tune of a couple of billion pounds!). If that's the case looks like BA is going to be stuck with the 767s for a while, so Speedbirdegjj's comments about interior upgrades to a J, W, M config starting later this year make sense.

For reference full BA 767-336ER routes this summer look like: -

BA047 LHR-Dar es Salaam (Mo, Th, Sa) [BA046 return Tu, Fr, Su]
BA063 LHR-Entebbe/Kampala (Tu, Th, Su) [BA062 return Mo, We, Fr]
BA077 LHR-Luanda (Fr) [BA076 return Sa]
BA081 LHR-Accra (Daily) [BA078 return Daily]
BA089 LHR-Nairobi (Tu, Th, Sa) {Sa flight continues to Seychelles until June} [BA088 return We, Fr, Su]
BA105 LHR-Dubai (Mo, Th, Sa) [BA104 return Tu, Fr, Su]
BA163 LHR-Tel Aviv (Daily) [BA162 return Daily]
BA165 LHR-Tel Aviv (Daily) [BA164 return Daily]
BA249 LHR-Bogota-Caracas (Tu, Th, Su) [BA248 return Tu, Th, Su]
BA253 LHR-Nassau-Grand Cayman (Tu, We, Fr, Sa) [BA252 return Tu, We, Fr, Sa]
BA253 LHR-Nassau-Providenciales (Su) [BA252 return Su]
BA255 LHR-Lusaka (Mo, We, Fr) [BA254 return Tu, Th, Sa]
BA1502 MAN-JFK (Daily) [BA1501 return]

All flights ex-LHR are three class configured, the MAN flight being two.

Baltimore is showing as a 777-236 operation this summer as opposed to 767-336ER that is being used at present.
