VS BOS-LHR Aircraft

Sun Jan 25, 2004 5:37 am

Can anyone shed some light on which aircraft is due to operate the BOS-LHR VS12 on March 28?

I have a booking on this flight and the Continental reservation system (where I made the booking) has it down as an A340-600, yet the Virgin system seems to have it down as an A343. According to virginflyer.com the -600 has been a fairly regular visitor to BOS over the last few months but was wondering if anyone knew if it is down to operate on the 28th March or whether it will be the 343.

Any help appreciated.
John

I find that for some odd reason, Orbitz always seems to know what will eventually happen. Try to search for the flight.

Orbitz have the flight as an A342(!) under the VS code and an A346 under the CO code.

Put those two together! Since Orbitz always seems to be right: VS is currently scheduling an A346 on your flight but due to technical problems you will be put on an A342 maybe operated by SA??  Wink/being sarcastic

A big surprise is waiting for you at the gate...  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Well, it is a VS flight, not COl; as a rule of thumb, always go with the operator when compared to a code share.

I'm not going to even begin to ponder why the 343 is listed as 342! (And, why 767 variantas seem to be the same to them.)

Keep in mind, though, that nothing is perfect. Right, "Sabena"?  Big grin
