Malaysia Airlines Flight EWR-KUL?

Sun Jan 25, 2004 1:12 pm

MH 071 operates EWR-KUL with one stop, does anyone know where that one stop is?

Thanks

Yep, MAS still operates KUL-DXB-EWR vv. with full traffic rights on all sectors. Flight is on a 777-200ER.

I thought the flights were 3 times a week? Any plans for them to increase the flights or introduce a new stopover city?

Malaysia Airlines is the only airline to connect the U.S. to the U.A.E. nonstop... A change of venue will not happen!

What LHR001 said is true until EK gets the final approval when they can get the handling agent "delinked" from the EK group of companies.

As said above, flights are 3x a week.

Also, the correct EWR-DXB-KUL flight no. is MH091. MH071 is the NRT-KUL flight.  Smile

MH would like more flights to New York but there's a lot of red tape out there.

I think MH might reconsider DXB as the stopover point when EK inaugurates its services into NYC. I would expect EK to offer at least daily services into NYC and rock-bottom air fares ex-NYC, which MH can't match.

Joule: Do you know anything more about this red tape issue? I know that MH has been planning on doubling its flights into EWR and perhaps introduce a new stopover city as well. Their flights ex-EWR are always full and I am curios why they didn't introduce the B744 on this route.

At this point, MH would still be the only nonstop flight between the USA and UAE... even if EK did attempt service to New York.
