CO's MD-80's At EWR

Sun Jan 25, 2004 3:08 pm

Lately I've been seeing less and less CO MD-80's at EWR. What routes do CO still fly the MD-80 to out of EWR?

Don't expect many MD-80s to start showing up at EWR. All of them are based at IAH and are being placed on a lot of IAH-west coast runs I believe.

Wasn't EWR also the first to lose the DC-9?

The reason you're seeing less, COEWRNJ, is because CO is rapidly retiring their MD-80 fleet. Within two or three years, the MD-80 fleet will be gone Crying

I knew they were retiring them. I just wasn't sure really where the remaining ones were being put. I will miss the MD-80 from EWR. As much as a lot of people don't like them I have always liked them for some strange reason.
