Delta AirElite

Is this a profitable operation for Delta? They offer quite a few different business jets, plus CRJ's and DO 328JET's, plus all the types in the Delta mainline fleet.

Also, do they own the business jets (Lears, Gulfstreams, etc)?

Thanks!

With Air Elite you can also end up on a Flex Jets operated jet... DL Air Elite isn't the best deal out there. NetJets has the Mercury card which gives you 25 occupied hours with 8 hours notice and the pre hour rate is a good bit better than Air Elite... I forget the exact comparison and if you pay for empty legs (don't think so). The only plus with Air Elite over other deals are the Medallion miles, which allows only 1 person per flight to accrue the miles... but the miles offered for such expensive trips is still a rip off.

Do you know if they are making any money from it?
