China Southern To Buy 21 A320

Wed Jan 28, 2004 5:30 am

PARIS - China Southern Airlines has reached a preliminary agreement with Airbus to purchase 21 passenger jets, Chinese President Hu Jintao said on Tuesday.

President Hu, in France on an official visit, said the Chinese carrier and the European aircraft maker "have reached agreement" on the contract.

Airbus spokeswoman Barbara Kracht confirmed that a preliminary agreement has been reached for the sale of 21 A-320 planes.

Kracht said it was too early to say when the deal might be finalized or when the deliveries might take place.

Great news, the A330's for the RAF and now 21 A320 series for China Southern. Can't wait to see them in Hong Kong.

Just a guess but would these replace the 757's?
