What Flight Was This? (LGA)

Wed Jan 28, 2004 6:15 am

Listening to LGA Tower on January 21st, I heard what sounded like "Medic 85" cleared to depart runway 31 at 1835.

Any clue what this is?

I know Air Force Two landed there at 1745 that day, maybe it was related?

Did I mistake this callsign for the callsign of a regular airline flight and I'm dumb? Good possibility.

I wasn't a helicopter.

One of those "life flight" charters carrying an organ donation to an awaiting patient, there are firms who have charter jets ready to transport organ transplants to waiting receipients.

That's my guess.

Yeah, I thought it might have been Midwest. I should have checked their callsign first.

DOH!
