Sorry if this isn't the correct board, we couldn't work out which one to post under.
We are two students from Cambridge University England, with access to London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stanstead airports.
We are taking part in a 'charity jailbreak' tomorrow, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The aim is to 'hitchhike' for as far as you can, and get back within 36 hours, for FREE. Three years ago a group of students made it as far as Arizona and back.
We are looking for two spare seats anywhere, but owing to the current political conditions and increased airport security we're not having much luck. For those airlines that are supportative (BA and Qantas have been helpful so far) they already have their own charities that they support, and so can't help.
Does anyone have any idea as to how we can get 2 seats, to anywhere? The jailbreak starts at 11:30am tomorrow morning (GMT) and we have to get someone and back within 36 hours.
In terms of security we are full UK passport holders, have police checks and university documents if required, as well as insurance.
Is anyone on here a pilot, and if so can you help? Do you work for an airline, and can you help? Or if you're just someone who's interested, how can you advise us?
Please post back with any comments. We have to leave at 11:30 tomorrow and so if we can blag a free flight we would be grateful.
