Thu Feb 05, 2004 7:26 am

Hey,

I just (5:20PM Eastern) a USA JET DC-9 land at Daytona International. Anybody know any specifics on the flight and/or have any information on the airline. Thanks for your time.

More than likey just some folks coming in to watch the races. When I was at Riddle from 2000-2002 during the races they closed 16/34 to park spectator and the drivers aircraft. Very cool sight.

More likely it's automotive freight, specifically airbag components, coming from a plant in St. Augustine and destined for Ogden or SLC, UT. Did several such trips in a Falcon over the past few years.

I missed that, got out of my Marketing class at 4:30pm - consdering we dont get alot of variety at DAB this would have excited me . By the way on Jan 16th we are getting a Continental (mainline) into DAB- dont ask me why, but its stated on the Daytona Beach INternational Airport website.

Fboweb is showing JUS191 on file to RDU. Apparently started it's day in GNV and did LEX, CLT, DAB.

The Daytona 500 is why airlines bring in additional or larger equipment during the middle of Feb. Usually it has only been DL in the past, but this year CO is adding a 737-700 on Monday morning.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

USA Jet is a contract cargo company. So no telling what it's hauling, or in town to pick-up.
