JAX-how can I get hired there?

Fri Feb 06, 2004 1:52 am

Does anyone work at KJAX? I was curious how hiring worked there. If I remember correctly, the airlines hire directly right or through JIA? Just curious because I would like to work there over the summer! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sure it depends what position you want.

If you want to be a baggage loader or a CSA, I'm pretty sure that's all done directly through the airline.

I'm going to try to get a side job doing something like that this summer myself.

You would have to apply directly with the airline itself. If you want you you can also apply with Signature flight Support and work the FBO. If you apply with JIA you will work directly for the Port Authority and will not enjoy the airline benefits. I used to work for ACA out of JAX just for further info.

I have seen some openings on flyi.com for part time work and if I'm not mistaken I've seen some postings for AirTran as well. Good Luck with your search and maybe I'll see you there sometime in the future.
