Grenada is doesn't seem to be a very popular destination for Americans in general, though it seems to be slowly, very slowly getting there. Grenada is popular among Europens, we have lots of visitors from England, Germany and other European countries. BA
(Excel) all serve Grenada from Europe. Quite a few passengers connect on BW
New York and Grenada is an entirely different story. There alot of Grenadians living in NY, and their "bus" is pimarily Air Jamaica. JM
offers non-stop service from JFK
to GND 4 times a week, and connections through MBJ
5 times. In the peak season i.e. Jul-Aug, Apr, and Nov-Jan, the JFK
service increases to about 5 or 6 depending on the season. BW
has connections every day via POS
and direct flights 4 times a week in the summer season usually.
Air Canada has started a weekend service to GND from YYZ
and their flights have been going great, and are quite full, and they are looking to increasing their presence here.
US Airways has been the only recent incentive for American tourists to fly to Grenada. Their flights, weekend service only have been quite full, nearly everyweek with passengers who seem to be quite delighted to experience the "new" caribbean destination...
