Question About Ex-TWA

Mon Feb 09, 2004 5:59 pm

I have come across this before today but I realize that TWA is technically still running under AA. Even on the upload page there is airline called American Airlines (TWA). Are all Ex TWA aircraft that are now AA in this catorgory including ones with a registration that ends with TW .

Most likely *yes*, but not necessarily, it just depends on the person who uploads the picture, you probably would catch most, if not all, by doing a Registration search and just putting in 'TW'.  Big thumbs up

Not all ex-TWA aircraft end with TW! N711ZX is an ex-TWA Boeing 757-200 currently with American Airlines. Also, many of the ex-TWA MD-80s do not all end with the registration TW. Some examples are N110HM, N9624T, N953U, N952U, and so on. Many of the MD-80s TWA operated were inherited from other airlines, though they were original customers of the MD-80, one of the earliest, I think.
