Directly Competing Aircrafts BO Vs AB

Fri Feb 13, 2004 6:10 am

THIS IS NOT MENT TO BE AN AIRBUS vs BOEING WAR - just an informative one for people like myself.

I was wondering which aircrafts from the two manufacturers compete against each other directly. Please feel free to add/correct me. Did i miss out any other than the 707/727s?

717 = 318???
737-500 = 318?
737-600 = 319?????
737-700 & 800 = 320
737-900 = 320 or 321 ???
747-300 = 340-600 + 777-300 (intended replacements)
747-400 = No competitor
757-200 & 300/7E7-200 = 321/310??
767-200 & 300/7E7-300 = 300 & 330-200
777-200 = 330-300
777-200ER = 340-300
777-300 = 340-600
777-300ER = 340-600HGR
340-200 = No competitor
380 = No Competitor

The 757 is a class of itself. The A321 has inferrior range, size, seating. The A310 has a larger capacity, range, etc...
