I proposed to my wife during a flight from DFW
as we were sitting in F class. She had no idea as to all the planning I had gone to. In order to have champagne on the flight, I had to bring enough champagne for everyone in F class. So about 4 bottles were brought on board. I also had to arrange for a dozen roses to be smuggled on board.
When it came time to pop the question, I dropped the engagement ring on the floor! Thank goodness we found it. The captain made the announcement and everyone clapped. As the plane landed, they asked that we remain on board as everyone wanted to come by and wish us well. Someone else made up a make-shift "Best Wishes" card and lots of people signed it.
In June, we will be celebrating 10 years of marriage. She still doesn't understand my fascination with planes, though
