If I can use a LCC that isn't in my country then B6
(jetBlue) by a long shot. As I just typed in another thread, I used them 4 times on my trip to the US last year. I really liked their model of giving more as a LCC. I know that WN
was the pioneer etc, but I still think that B6
is a good model and I was extremely happy after flying them.
Leather seats with 34" pitch (which is more than I got with VS
on the transatlantic journey to the US), PTV for every passenger with DirecTV, free drinks and snacks and headsets. Modern fleet of A320s, friendly staff, clean aircraft and on-time service. They even let me swap to an earlier flight totally free of charge at the last minute when we'd built too much fat into our flying timings for the day when we'd booked. If I'd made that change in advance there would have been a charge!
If I had to choose a UK based LCC, then it would probably be a tie between U2
just taking it because they fly to more major airports. I don't find their fares vastly different if booked in advance, although FR
do lots more offers. I haven't flown with any of the others yet, but will be road testing BMIbaby in a couple of months
