For the record, there's only 7 airlines operating London-New York:

British
Virgin
American
United
Air India
Kuwait
Continental

Concorde's list is correct, but it should be pointed out that

British
Virgin
American
United
Air India
Kuwait

are all LHR - JFK and

Continental

is LGW - EWR.

BA do LHR - EWR too.

It's probably a stupid question, but can Air India and Kuwait sell tickets on the LHR-JFK portion of the flight?

I know that this topic had been covered in the past, but it would be nice to see CX joining LHR-JFK service in the near future. (that is if the Commission approves it!)

If I am not mistaken, in a sort of throwback to the pre-internet era, I think alot of the Air India and Kuwait tickets between NYC and London are sold via consolidators and specialist travel agencies, who are often only reachable by phone. NYC-LON is never all that expensive given the competition, but sometimes you can save some money if it's that important to you by going this way. In any event, the 7 different carriers must make this one of, if not the most competitive intercontinental sector in the world....

The 9th table down on the following web-page shows the operating carriers, and shows their punctuality. Handy indeed to see that UA knocks the socks off the competition with 88% on-time performance!

hardly, if you'll consider the government-mandated pricing regulation, and the plethora of airlines who'd like to compete (on reasonable footing) but cannot
