Sun Country Starts RST-LAS Service

Thu Feb 19, 2004 6:12 am

From what I've heard at work and on the local news Sun Country will have 2 monthly flights outta RST to LAS, plus the other 2 flights from RST-IFP, which is good news for this small airport, I would Really love to see Sun Country come in with more flights, cause every one that has came outta RST has been full which is always good for business  Smile

That is great, especially for all of you that find RST more convenient than MSP. Now I wish Sun Country would get some longer range jets and have some non-stops from JFK-LAS, then get a couple of Embraer 145s and have a shuttle from IFP-LAS!!
Hey that guy with the private jet can bail us out! Why? HE CAN AFFORD IT!

How about SY picks up something bigger rather than something smaller. Who the hell wants an RJ. I'd take the drive.

Sun Country's 738s are more than capable of handling JFK-LAS.

I wasn't sure what the 738's range was, I mean JFK-LAS has to be 2500 miles or so, wasn't sure if the 738 could handle that. I would take that jet on that route. Though that has to be 5 hours, I would rather have something like a 767.

AviatorTJ, it's an ok drive, gets annoying though, some of these people doing 60mph drive me nuts!  Nuts

I understand completely. I live right by MSP (when I am not at school) and run into slow people all the time. You have got to love it.  Insane

I should have mentioned before that AA flies its 738s from BOS to SEA and SJC, and used to fly from SJC to MIA with one. They are capable birds, and quite nice. Although I have never flown on Sun Country, I have family that has flown them from MSP to LAS several times and enjoyed it.

AviatorTJ,

I am leaving for Vegas in a hour, good ol 95 all the way there, I tell you I don't mind when you are in traffic, but sometimes there are nobody on this road, it's in the middle in the desert! I blow right most of these people, got to watch though, tractor trailers coming in the other direction!  Angry

I was going to fly Sun Country to Denver for a day trip, but the flight times didn't work so good. I am going to drive through Denver on the way home. May fly Sun Country to from JFK-MSP then MSP-IFP sometime in the summer. They seem like a good airline!
