Any Chance Of VS To SEA?

Sun Feb 22, 2004 2:22 pm

I was just thinking that BA is the only airline that currently offers service from LHR - SEA. (Though UA has route, they're not using it.) So I was just thinking, what are the chances of seeing VS A340s in SEA?

I imagine Bermuda II prohibits it....

What about VS flying to Denver? I know BA already serves this route from LGW but is there any chance?

BA serves DEN from LHR, not LGW.

Virgin's market profile is to fly to tourist destinations that attract a good amount of British tourists. Now, for the most part, the higher-yieldings ones are flown with low-density aircraft out of Heathrow and the lower yielding ones are served with high-density aircraft out of Gatwick. Denver, Seattle, Houston, and Dallas do not fit this profile. They are not "hot spots" for British tourists. Neither is Chicago, which is one reason Virgin was unable to make the Chicago market work despite how huge it is.

Then I would think SAN would be on that list if BA does not return.
Uncle SAN at your service!
